Dear Valued Clients,
As travel resumes and restrictions start to loosen up, we wanted to share initiatives RMA has taken to keep you, your staff and our chauffeurs safe. We know that everyone is looking forward to traveling again and with the proper duty of care it can be safe. We look forward to continuing our partnership with you and pledge to work hard to ensure your health.
RMA is committed, as always, to the safety and security of all, which is why we are providing you with these important updates.
We are using Electrostatic Disinfecting sprayers to clean and sanitize all of our vehicles. These are the same machines that airlines, hotels, and a growing list of industries have begun to use. They are proven more effective against viruses by their ability to cover areas that are harder to reach or would otherwise be missed by normal cleaning.
Vehicles are disinfected and washed daily, and after each journey our chauffeurs are wiping down seats, door handles, windows and other major touchpoints.
You will still get the same professionally trained RMA chauffeur – nothing can change that. But you may see some differences in services from the past.
All of our chauffeurs will wear face coverings and disposable gloves, and in an effort to reduce contact, handshakes will temporarily be replaced with a friendly greeting. Rest assured, there is still a warm smile underneath that face covering.
For the safety of our passengers and our chauffeurs, we ask that all of our passengers also wear a face covering while in the vehicle. This is required in some states and is recommended everywhere by the CDC. We will provide disposable face coverings to our passengers if you do not have one available.
Chauffeurs will continue to offer assistance with luggage and open doors for you. Once in the vehicle, you may notice that we removed packaged mints and newspapers and magazines. Bottled water will be provided on request but will be up front with our chauffeurs so we can control touches on the water bottles.
For the safety of our passengers and chauffeurs, we will limit the number of people allowed to travel in certain vehicles. For sedans, no more than 2 passengers will be allowed to ride in the vehicle and passengers may not sit in the front seat. For SUVs, no more than 4 passengers will be allowed to ride, and passengers may not sit in the front seat. For Vans, Minibuses, and Motor Coaches, only one passenger per row will be permitted. Buses will be boarded starting at the rear, to ensure minimal close contact with each other.
We will continue to encourage our employees to work remotely as much as possible, although some positions including dispatchers, detailers, chauffeurs, and a small handful of operations staff, continue to report to our offices where we continue to enforce social distancing. Anyone who feels under the weather or feels any symptoms of Covid-19 will be instructed to stay home.
We have been following the recommendations and guidelines given by the CDC and government agencies. As more details and safe practices become known, we will update our clients about any changes to our procedures.
And when you are ready to travel, know that RMA is always here for you , with the well- being and safety of everyone, being of the utmost importance to us.
